Newcastle United forward Dwight Gayle has acknowledged that he has not been happy with his performance in front of goal this season.
The Magpies have already secured safety in the top flight, but Gayle has scored just five goals from his 21 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the league.
Gayle has also contributed three assists and is pleased with his work outside of the penalty area, but admits that he has been left "frustrated" with his strike-rate.
The 27-year-old told Goals on Sunday: "Personally, my finishing has not been the best this season and I'm frustrated with it. I should have done better but it is one of those things.
"It's nice to be scoring goals and I want to be helping the team in that way but sometimes you have to be doing other stuff in the game and I think I've improved that this season."
Gayle is yet to score more than seven goals in a single Premier League season.
