Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole previews this Saturday's FA Cup clash between Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United.

Newcastle United have a potential banana skin to contend with in the FA Cup this Saturday when they travel to Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Alan Pardew's side go into the game on a run of three defeats in their last four league matches and recently lost influential striker Demba Ba to Chelsea.

The Seagulls have claimed some impressive scalps in the league this season but are the Championship's draw specialists, with no fewer than 10 stalemates in the current campaign.

Manager Gus Poyet has confirmed that he will field a strong side and has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game.

Magpies boss Pardew is expected to hand Papiss Cisse a start up front after the Senegal international filled the void left by Ba against Everton in mid-week.

The two sides met in the fourth round of the competition last season with Brighton progressing 1-0.

Recent form:

Brighton: LDDDLW

Newcastle: WWLLDL

Possible lineups

Brighton: Kuszczak, Bruno, Greer, El-Abd, Bridge, Crofts, Dobbie, Lopez, Lua Lua, Bridcutt, Mackail-Smith

Newcastle: Krul; Simpson, Perch, Coloccini, Santon; Bigirimana, Tiote, Marveaux, Obertan; Ameobi, Cisse

Sports Mole says: 1-1
