Off the back of a first defeat in four outings last time out, NEC entertain the challenge of FC Utrecht at Stadion de Goffert on Sunday afternoon in round 25 of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.

Utrecht, on the other hand, make the journey to Nijmegen this weekend aiming to avoid a third defeat on the bounce across all competitions.

An out-of-sorts Heerenveen host title-chasing Ajax in the Eredivisie on Sunday lunchtime.

Kees van Wonderen's side salvaged a point in a bonkers 3-3 draw against FC Twente to avoid yet another defeat last weekend, while Ajax stayed three points behind league-leading Feyenoord with a 1-0 win over NEC.

We say: Heerenveen 0-2 Ajax

While there is the possibility that some Ajax minds may wander to next weekend - when they host league-leading Feyenoord - it is unlikely that Heerenveen will be able to take advantage of any dip and end the winning sequence of their once-again ominous visitors.

A fifth straight win across all competitions is on the cards for high-flying PSV Eindhoven when they welcome Cambuur to the Philips Stadion on Sunday evening.

For Cambuur, securing back to back victories for the first time since the turn of the year will be the target as they aim to move out of the drop zone.
