Report: Napoli interested in signing Sunderland's Sebastian Larsson

Napoli are reportedly considering making a move for Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson this summer.

Napoli are reportedly keen on signing midfielder Sebastian Larsson from Sunderland this summer.

The Sweden international comes to the end of his contract at the Stadium of Light next month, but reports have claimed that Black Cats boss Gus Poyet wants to keep him.

According to The Northern Echo, Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has placed Larsson on his transfer wishlist, and the club have made it known that they want to discuss terms with the player.

It is believed that Larsson and his representatives are yet to agree a new deal with Sunderland, despite holding discussions with Poyet towards the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has also been linked to fellow Premier League side Hull City.
