Napoli boss Rafael Benitez has been slapped with a one-match touchline ban for his behaviour in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Parma.

After watching his charges fail to beat the already-relegated side in a result that harms their Champions League hopes, Benitez is reported to have shouted "this shitty Italian football" upon leaving the pitch.

Consequently, the Spaniard, who was also fined £3,500 for the outburst, will watch Monday's visit of Cesena from the stands.

Striker Gonzalo Higuain was also fined £7,000 for comments made to Parma goalkeeper Mariano Andujar during the stalemate.

Benitez's side sit fourth in Serie A, three points adrift of third-placed Lazio - who occupy the final Champions League spot - with three games remaining.
