Middlesbrough plan Daniel Ayala contract talks?

A report claims that Middlesbrough are hoping to tie Daniel Ayala down to a new contract in a bid to warn off other interested parties.

Middlesbrough are reportedly keen to begin contract negotiations with defender Daniel Ayala.

The Spaniard's current terms at the Riverside Stadium are due to expire in the summer of 2017.

His performances are believed to have captured the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, including Leicester City and West Ham United.

As a result, The People claims, Boro want to sit down with the 25-year-old's representatives as soon as possible.

Ayala is currently sidelined by the ankle injury that he picked up last month.
