Result: Middlesbrough 1-1 Millwall

Middlesbrough fail to move into the promotion places, drawing 1-1 draw with Millwall at home.

Unbeaten Middlesbrough failed to move into the automatic promotion places, following a 1-1 draw with Millwall at the Riverside this afternoon.

The home side took the lead after 20 minutes through utility man Barry Robson's strike from outside the area, after a move down the right-hand side.

Scott McDonald had three shots on the Millwall goal inside the first five minutes of the second half as Boro continued to dominate. However, the visitors were able to score from their first attack of the second half, when Simpson's shot deflected off Brian Howard into the back of the net.

Middlesbrough remain in third place in the Championship, while Millwall sit one spot above the relegation zone.
