Mark Warburton has admitted that both sets of players may have trouble keeping their emotions in check when Norwich City meet Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final this afternoon.
Both teams will clash at Wembley for a place in the Premier League next season, and Warburton, who was beaten by Boro as Brentford boss in the semi-final, has said that the reward on offer for winning the game could adversely affect performances.
"It's very difficult, they always tell you to play the game and not the occasion, but I think the key is to play your game," he told Sky Sports News.
"You need to try and impose yourself on the game, relish it, enjoy the occasion and rise to the challenge, but it's not as easy as it sounds."
Warburton is expected to leave Brentford imminently.
