Marseille have confirmed that their Brazilian defender Doria has completed a loan move to Sao Paulo, with the option to make the switch permanent at the end of the initial deal.
Brazil's Under-21 captain is being frozen out by manager Marcelo Bielsa, after the defender was forced upon him when he completed his transfer from Botafogo in the summer.
Doria has since failed to record any first-team minutes for the Ligue 1 side and is unlikely to return to the club after his loan deal has finished.
"Olympique de Marseille and Sao Paulo have reached an agreement for the loan of Matheus Macedo Doria until 30 June 2015," a statement read, according to Goal.com.
"The temporary transfer is subject to a purchase option."
The 20-year-old played 60 times for Botafogo before making his move to France and has made one senior appearance for the Brazilian national team.
