Andre-Pierre Gignac scored his fourth goal in five games to earn Marseille a narrow victory over nine-man Toulouse at Stadium Municipal this evening.
The hosts lost Cheikh M'Bengue and Franck Tabanou to straight red cards for dangerous tackles during the first half.
However, it took Marseille until the 68th minute to break the deadlock, Gignac latching onto Jeremy Morel's through-ball before firing into the top corner from 18 yards.
That proved to be the game's only goal, as Andre Ayew and Loic Remy spurned good chances to extend the visitors' lead late on.
Marseille climb to second in the Ligue 1 table, level on points with leaders Lyon.
