Marseille have made initial contact with former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp about becoming their new head coach.
Former boss Marcelo Bielsa walked out on the club after their 1-0 defeat at home to Caen on Saturday and according to Get French Football News, L'OM president Vincent Labrune has contacted Klopp to replace the Argentinian.
Klopp is believed to be flattered by the approach but will take some time to think about any deal. However, RMC reports that the German would prefer a year sabbatical in order to take over a top European side next season.
The 48-year-old led Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League final but left the club after a poor season which saw them finish seventh.
