Alou Diarra admits to "tough" time

Alou Diarra believes that Marseille did not deserve to get beat in their recent league match with Paris Saint-Germain.

Marseille midfielder Alou Diarra has admitted that his team is going through a rough patch after nine games without a win.

Didier Deschamps's men slipped to another league defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.

The result leaves Les Phoceens ninth in the Ligue 1 standings but Diarra believes that his team did enough to earn a point.

"We're going through a tough spell," said the 30-year-old. "It's a pity because we showed some good things.

"We had quite a few chances and I think we deserved better. What's a real shame is the way we started the game because we really had the possibility of getting something from the game."

Diarra moved to the Stade Velodrome from Bordeaux last year.
