Marcus Rashford has been ruled out of England training today after picking up a minor knee problem ahead of the World Cup.
England boss Gareth Southgate confirmed that Rashford suffered a knock in their final session before travelling out to Russia, and he will now be absent for their first in the country itself.
However, the problem is understood to be minor, with the 20-year-old being withheld for precautionary reasons just five days before England get their World Cup campaign underway.
Rashford thrust himself into contention for a starting role in the opening match against Tunisia on June 18 with a man-of-the-match display in England's final warm-up game against Costa Rica last week, scoring a stunning goal to break the deadlock at Elland Road.
England have also been drawn in a group alongside Panama and Belgium at this summer's tournament.
