Louis van Gaal: Daley Blind "is an all-round player"

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has hailed Daley Blind as "an all-round player".

The Red Devils confirmed earlier today that they had reached an agreement with Ajax to sign the versatile 24-year-old.

Former United midfielder Paul Scholes has since voiced his concern about the capture, but Van Gaal has praised Blind's quality.

"First we have to wait and see the medical, because everything is dependable of that, but he is an all-round player," he told BT Sport.

Van Gaal was speaking ahead of his side's clash away at Burnley.
