Manchester United 'had concerns about Bruno Fernandes's decision-making'

Manchester United did not sign Bruno Fernandes last summer as they were concerned about the Sporting Lisbon attacker's decision-making, according to a report.

Manchester United reportedly decided against a move for Bruno Fernandes in last summer's transfer window as they were concerned about the Sporting Lisbon attacker's decision-making.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with the Portugal international ahead of the 2019-20 campaign but the transfer window closed without the club completing a deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are now believed to be on the verge of signing the 25-year-old, though, with the move potentially going through over the weekend.

According to Metro, concerns over Fernandes's decision-making and shoot-on-sight policy led to the 20-time English champions deciding against pushing to sign him before the start of the season.

The report also claims that United were not prepared to agree to a deal which could have eventually cost them in the region of £80m with various add-ons.

Should the attacker complete a move over the weekend then he could, in theory, make his debut against Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
