Manchester United 'want to seal Bruno Fernandes deal today'

Manchester United are reportedly keen to complete a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes on Friday.

Manchester United have reportedly informed Sporting Lisbon that they wish to finalise a deal for Bruno Fernandes on Friday.

Since the beginning of the January transfer window, United have been attempting to secure the services of the Portugal international, whom they opted against pursuing in the summer.

While it has been suggested that Fernandes has agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants, the two clubs have continued to haggle over a fee.

However, A Bola claims that progress has been made in negotiations, with United optimistic that they can secure the signing before the weekend.

Despite Sporting wishing to field Fernandes against Benfica on Friday evening, it appears unlikely that United will allow that to occur given the recent developments.

United are said to be looking to sign the 25-year-old for a fee in the region of £60m.
