Robin van Persie 'close to Fenerbahce switch'

Robin van Persie's transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahce is almost done, according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is reportedly on the verge of joining Fenerbahce.

The 31-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Red Devils, following an injury-hit season at Old Trafford.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio on Twitter, the deal is almost done and there are only some details left to be arranged before the Dutchman heads to Turkey.

Fenerbahce have already signed Van Persie's former United teammate Nani this summer.
