Manchester United have reportedly been told by Paris Saint-Germain that they can sign unhappy striker Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan remains frustrated at Parc des Princes as coach Laurent Blanc continues to deploy him on the wing to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a central role.
United boss Louis van Gaal has previously explored the idea of signing the 28-year-old and, according to The Metro, the Dutchman can now do so for a cut-price £32m.
Van Gaal has grown concerned over Wayne Rooney's goal-shy form this season, with the Red Devils skipper netting twice in 12 Premier League outings.
Cavani, who was also linked to Arsenal in the summer, is contracted to Les Parisiens until 2018 having joined from Napoli in 2013.
