A report in France claims that Wayne Rooney is tempted to join champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly started talks with Wayne Rooney over a move to the French capital.

The 27-year-old's future at Manchester United has been thrown into doubt ever since departing manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed earlier this month that he had handed in a second transfer request in three years.

Reports have claimed that incoming United boss David Moyes may be able to talk the England international into staying at Old Trafford, but PSG believe that he is "enormously interested" by their interest, according to L'Equipe.

Chelsea are the current favourites to sign Rooney should he decide to leave the Red Devils, while PSG are third in the market behind Bayern Munich.
