Everton hold internal interviews to replace David Moyes?

A report says that Phil Neville, Alan Stubbs and David Weir have all been interviewed by Everton as the search to replace David Moyes continues.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has reportedly held discussions with three people connected with the club about the prospect of replacing David Moyes.

Kenwright is in the process of making his first managerial appointment in 11 years after Moyes accepted the opportunity to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United this summer.

While a number of managers have been linked with the vacancy, Kenwright has met with Phil Neville, who called time on his playing career with the Toffees at the end of last season, according to Sky Sports News.

The report went on to claim that coaches and former Everton defenders Alan Stubbs and David Weir have also been interviewed for the position.

Despite the speculation, Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is still the favourite to take over at Goodison Park.
