Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly lining up alternative options to Paul Pogba as they fear missing out on the Manchester United midfielder to Real Madrid.
The France international was strongly linked with a move to his homeland with PSG in the summer window, though any interest appeared to dwindle following the arrival of Lionel Messi.
Pogba is set to become a free agent next year, but Defensa Central suggests that the Ligue 1 giants are not confident of landing the 28-year-old's signature.
Madrid are said to be Pogba's favoured destination, and he supposedly intends to discuss terms with Los Blancos in the January window.
The report indicates that PSG have instead started looking at other central midfield players, with AC Milan's Franck Kessie considered the next best choice.
Kessie is also out of contract in less than a year's time and is not believed to be close to agreeing fresh terms at San Siro.
