Manchester United reportedly have no interest in signing Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi before the transfer deadline passes.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for much of the summer, with one publication in Spain having recently claimed that it had seen paperwork which confirmed the deal.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the 27-year-old has never been a target for Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal, who has no plans to recruit a new centre-back.
Otamendi joined Valencia from Porto in 2014 and he has gone on to make 38 appearances for the Spanish club.
