Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Everton's Seamus Coleman as his number one right-back target.
The Red Devils were strongly linked with a move for AS Monaco defender Fabinho in the summer, but the Brazilian remained with his Ligue 1 club and has since signed a new contract.
Despite being known as a manager that likes 'specialist' players for each position, Man United started the new campaign with Antonio Valencia in the right-back spot, leaving Timothy Fosu-Mensah as back-up.
However, according to The Independent, Mourinho is desperate to bring £25m-rated Coleman to Old Trafford, two years after the Republic of Ireland international was strongly linked with Man United when David Moyes was at the club.
A £60,000 signing from Sligo Rovers in 2009, Coleman, who is contracted to Everton until June 2019, has made over 200 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
