Real Madrid are reportedly still awaiting a response from Raphael Varane after offering the centre-back a new contract.
The France international will officially become a free agent on June 30 when his existing deal expires.
Varane does not appear to be short of suitors, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain supposedly desperate to snap him up.
However, Los Blancos have offered the 28-year-old fresh terms that will see him increase his current €5.5m (£4.74m) a year wages.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, though, Varane is stalling on making a decision over his future, which is leaving Madrid in limbo.
Varane is currently focused on France's upcoming Euro 2020 campaign, and it is claimed that he may wait until after the tournament before making a final decision.
Fellow long-serving Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is also set to become a free agent later this month.
