Report: Real Madrid prefer Hugo Lloris to David de Gea

Real Madrid reportedly make Tottenham's Hugo Lloris their number one goalkeeping target as they see him as a more realistic signing than Man United's David de Gea.

Real Madrid are believed to favour a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris over a swoop for Manchester United's David de Gea.

The European champions are apparently searching for a new first-choice goalkeeper after becoming concerned by the dipping form of Iker Casillas.

They have been linked with both Premier League stoppers, and The Express claims that they are ready to prioritise a move for Lloris as they see him as a more realistic target.

De Gea, 24, would reportedly be reluctant to leave United after emerging as a key player for the Red Devils, but Lloris may seek a way out of Spurs should they not qualify for the Champions League this season.

The France captain, who moved to White Hart Lane from Lyon for £11m in 2012, is also believed to be a target for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.

Casillas is contracted to Real until 2017 and currently has Costa Rica star Keylor Navas for competition.
