Bayern Munich have reportedly informed Real Madrid that they would need to spend at least €60m (£50m) to sign Lucas Hernandez this summer.

The 26-year-old defender has been a first-team regular for the Bavarian giants this season, featuring in 27 games across all competitions.

Hernandez is under contract at the Allianz Arena until June 2024, but Spanish news outlet Marca, via Defensa Central, reports that the Frenchman is considering his options ahead of a potential departure this summer.

The report adds that the defender is 'tired' of his experience in Germany and is seeking a fresh challenge as he approaches the prime years of his career.

While Real Madrid are expected to prioritise the signing of Kylian Mbappe this summer, they are also open to reinforcing their defence, with former Atletico Madrid man Hernandez a potential transfer target.

Los Blancos would, however, be required to fork out at least €60m (£50m) if they wish to sign the World Cup winner ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Hernandez has also been linked with La Liga rivals Barcelona and Premier League giants Manchester United.
