Napoli boss Gattuso insists Kalidou Koulibaly will not be sold on the cheap

Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso says that Manchester City-linked Kalidou Koulibaly will only be allowed to leave for the right price.

Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has affirmed that Kalidou Koulibaly will not be leaving if his asking price is not met during the transfer window.

The Senegal international has been frequently linked with a move away from Naples in recent months, with Premier League arch-rivals Manchester United and Manchester City both being touted as potential destinations.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has previously stated that Koulibaly will be staying put unless a suitable offer is received, and Gattuso has echoed the owner's words regarding the situation.

When asked by Sky Sport Italia about Koulibaly's possible departure, Gattuso responded: "Koulibaly has a precise asking price, and if the club doesn't get the money it is asking for, then he won't leave."

Koulibaly, who is under contract in Naples until 2023, has scored 10 goals in 246 appearances for the Serie A giants since arriving from Genk in 2014.

Meanwhile, Napoli are also believed to be holding firm on their asking price for striker Arkadiusz Milik, who is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
