Moyes happy to have Ferguson's advice

New Manchester United manager David Moyes says that he is more than happy to have Sir Alex Ferguson around the club.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has said that he is not perturbed by Sir Alex Ferguson's continued presence at the club.

The former Everton boss officially took over from the retired Ferguson at the helm of the Premier League champions at the beginning of this month.

Ferguson has stayed on at Old Trafford in an advisory role but Moyes has claimed that he is more than happy to have his fellow Scot around for managerial advice.

"Who wouldn't want Sir Alex as a mentor, to be able to go and ask him a few questions if you are worried about something?" the Daily Mail quotes Moyes as saying.

"Everyone knows he's a great character and around the scene a lot. He will have opinions and at times there will be things that I do that maybe he wouldn't.

"But that's why I need to put David Moyes's stamp on the job. In time it has to become my team."

Moyes gave his first press conference as United manager earlier this week.
