Manchester United manager David Moyes has denied reports that the club are closing in on a deal to bring Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao to Old Trafford.
The North-West outfit, who are said to be giving Moyes £100m to spend this month, were linked with a move for the Portugal international in the summer.
Despite numerous newspaper claims that a deal is close, according to talkSPORT, when asked about the rumours, Moyes said: "No, that's not true."
United, who were knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend, succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunderland in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final last night.
