Daniel James will not be leaving Manchester United before the end of this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly not allow Daniel James to leave the club before the end of this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been a regular for the Red Devils since arriving from Swansea City in 2019, making 73 appearances in all competitions, and he was named in the starting XI against Leeds United on the opening weekend of the 2021-22 campaign.

James's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, though, with a number of clubs believed to be keen on signing him in the current window.

According to The Athletic, the Wales international will not be sold or loaned out this month, as Solskjaer regards him as a key part of the first-team squad at Old Trafford.

The report claims that the Man United boss views James as a 'dependable' performer, and the Norwegian wants to retain the attacker due to his 'attitude and application to the tactics'.

The Welshman, who still has three years left to run on his contract, has contributed nine goals and nine assists during his time with the 20-time English champions.
