Manchester are reportedly preparing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo after changing their stance on the striker, who has expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sell Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

The Portugal international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after expressing his desire to leave following United's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Despite Ronaldo asking the club to accept a suitable offer if one is received, the Red Devils have previously remained firm with their intention to keep the 37-year-old.

However, according to The Sun, United have now changed their stance and are prepared to sell the forward this summer.

Although they would like to retain Ronaldo's services, the report suggests that the United hierarchy would rather offload the former Juventus man than risk a drawn-out battle between the player and the club.

Erik ten Hag was also keen to work with Ronaldo, however, after talking to the board, he has also agreed to sell the striker who has one-year left to run on his current contract.
