Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City's Youri Tielemans during this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils are expected to move for a new central midfielder ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with West Ham United's Declan Rice thought to be a leading target for the club.
However, Rice is valued by the Hammers in excess of £100m, and according to the Daily Star, Tielemans is seen as a cheaper alternative to the England international.
The 24-year-old has again been in impressive form for the Foxes during the 2021-22 campaign, but he has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium and could push for a move away from the club during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that Man United believe that an offer in the region of £40m would be accepted by the Foxes due to the Belgium international's contract situation.
Tielemans, who has also been linked with Liverpool, has scored 23 goals and registered 22 assists in 134 appearances for Brendan Rodgers's side since arriving from Monaco.
