Manchester United wait for Gareth Bale move to make Luka Modric swoop?

Manchester United will reportedly launch a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric once the Spanish giants secure the signature of Gareth Bale.

Manchester United are reportedly considering a swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric once Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale makes his proposed switch to the Bernabeu.

The Premier League champions, who were linked to the Croatian earlier in the summer transfer window, are keen to strengthen their midfield options, with Everton's Marouane Fellaini on the list.

It is understood that Madrid are likely to offload a number of players following the world-record Bale transfer, and United are keen to take advantage by lodging a bid for Modric, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils are also said to be interested in Modric's teammate Mesut Ozil.
