Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
The Croat was tipped to complete a move to United as part of a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku last week.
However, the proposed swap fell through after United failed to agree personal terms with Dybala, thereby diminishing the chances of Mandzukic coming to Old Trafford.
According to the Evening Standard, a potential move is back on after dialogue between the Red Devils and Juventus was reopened over the last 24 hours.
The 33-year-old, who played a vital role in taking Croatia to the World Cup final last year, is said to be valued at around £15m.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku looks certain to leave the Theatre of Dreams after the Belgian refused to return to Carrington for training on Tuesday.
