Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in signing Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic.
The Croatia international - as well as teammate Paulo Dybala - has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, although it was claimed on Sunday that the latter would not be joining the Premier League giants.
Nevertheless, as a result of potentially needing a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, United were expected to press ahead with attempting to sign Mandzukic.
However, despite allegedly agreeing personal terms with the player, the Daily Mail says that United are unlikely to proceed with bringing in the 33-year-old.
The report adds that Mandzukic was happy to accept a contract worth £6.2m per year in order to end his successful stint with the Serie A champions.
