Manchester United want to sign Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly keen to bring Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils are on the verge of securing a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, who is expected to sign a five-year deal with the club after undergoing a medical.

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to want three more new signings this summer, with a centre-back considered to be a priority by the Norwegian.

According to Sky Sports News, the 20-time English champions are interested in Varane, and initial talks between the two parties have already taken place.

The report, though, claims that Solskjaer's team could face competition for the France international from Paris Saint-Germain, while Chelsea have also previously been credited with an interest.

The 28-year-old only has one year left to remain on his contract at the Bernabeu and is believed to be open to the idea of seeking pastures new at this stage of his career.
