Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to land the signature of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in the next transfer window.
The Red Devils are actively seeking a new centre-back following injuries to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez this season.
Manager Erik ten Hag's defensive woes stretch further than in the central defensive positions, with full-backs Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia all on the treatment table as well.
Football Insider reports that Guehi is being pursued by Manchester United, along with several other Premier League teams.
However, the report also adds that securing a deal for the 23-year-old in the upcoming transfer window will be challenging, as Guehi is content to continue at Selhurst Park until at least the summer of 2024.
Guehi has become a consistent presence in Gareth Southgate's squad, most recently making a substitute appearance for the final 30 minutes against Italy in the European Championship qualifiers on Tuesday.
The England international is looking for a guaranteed first-team role on a weekly basis as he aims to secure his spot in the national side, with the Three Lions having now secured qualification for next summer's European Championships in Germany.
Guehi's current deal at Selhurst Park runs until June 2026, with a reported weekly wage of £50,000.
The defender has made nine appearances across all competitions for Palace this season, including their 1-0 victory over The Red Devils at Old Trafford last month.
