Manchester United snap up Chelsea youngster Di'Shon Bernard

Di'Shon Bernard brings an end to his time with Chelsea to link up with rivals Manchester United at Under-18s level.

Manchester United have officially signed teenage defender Di'Shon Bernard from Chelsea and added him to their youth ranks.

The 16-year-old finalised his move over the weekend once the transfer window opened for business, two months on from verbally agreeing a deal.

Bernard will play for the club's Under-18s side next term under the watch of Kieran McKenna, being joined by a number of other new faces ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Northern Ireland Under-17s skipper Ethan Galbraith has also been brought on board by the Red Devils after impressing on a trial basis.

United's age-grade side are due to fly out to Austria next week for a pre-season training camp.
