Manchester United could sell as many as six first-team players this summer to generate transfer funds, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell as many as six first-team players during this summer's transfer window to raise funds for potential new signings.

The Red Devils continue to be linked with a big-money move for Jadon Sancho, although it remains to be seen whether the club will meet Borussia Dortmund's asking price, which is thought to be in excess of £100m.

According to The Telegraph, Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot could all be made surplus to requirements ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Sanchez and Smalling are currently on loan at Inter Milan and Roma respectively, while Rojo was sent back to Estudiantes on loan before the coronavirus outbreak.

Jones, Lingard and Dalot have been part of United's first-team squad this season but all three have struggled to make their mark and have barely been involved since the restart.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League following Monday's 2-2 draw with Southampton when they travel to Crystal Palace on Thursday night.
