Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a possible move for Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri after Serhou Guirassy expressed interest in a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils are currently in seventh place in the Premier League and have managed just 18 goals in 17 matches this season.
Summer signing Rasmus Hojlund has yet to get on the scoresheet in the league, while Marcus Rashford, the club's top scorer from last season, has only netted twice this term.
According to the Sun, Erik ten Hag's side are now actively pursuing a move for the Moroccan striker in an effort to strengthen their squad during the upcoming January transfer window.
The report adds that United were linked with Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy, but it is understood that the striker is leaning towards a move to United's league rival, Tottenham.
Scouts from United have now been deployed to monitor En-Nesyri's performances, and they are set to be in attendance for Sevilla's upcoming La Liga clash against Atletico Madrid.
En-Nesyri has established himself as one of the premier traditional number nines in La Liga and Europe, with an impressive record that includes two Europa League titles with the club.
Since joining Sevilla from Leganes in January 2020, the 26-year-old has notched a tally of 62 goals in 179 games, with nine of those coming this season.
