Manchester United allegedly join the race to sign Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, who will be allowed to leave the Bernabeu later in 2020.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez as a potential summer target.

While United will hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer significant transfer funds during the next transfer window, a large portion could be spent on Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

However, according to AS, United are also giving thought to making an offer for out-of-favour Rodriguez.

Although the 28-year-old has made 12 appearances this season, it has been widely documented that Zinedine Zidane is happy to part ways with the Colombia international.

With just over a year remaining on Rodriguez's contract, United may feel that they can sign the creator for a cut-price fee.

Everton and Napoli are also said to be monitoring the situation.
