Manchester United are reportedly close to completing a deal for Penarol youngster Facundo Pellistri.
The 18-year-old has been on the Red Devils' radar for more than a year and they have now turned to the winger after failing in attempts to sign Jadon Sancho, Ousmane Dembele and Ismaila Sarr so far this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was eager to bring in a more established forward after identifying right-wing as his top transfer priority this summer, but a frustrating window has led United to settling for Pellistri.
The Manchester Evening News reports that a €10m (£9.1m) deal is now all but done for the Uruguayan, who currently plays under former United striker Diego Forlan at Penarol.
The 20-time champions of England are expected to confirm the deal ahead of tonight's 11pm transfer deadline, having already brought in Alex Telles on the final day of the window.
Solskjaer's side are also on the verge of confirming the signing of former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.
