Benfica have reportedly placed an €80m (£67.9m) price tag on star striker Darwin Nunez, amid reported interest from a host of elite European clubs including Manchester City and Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after strikers ahead of the upcoming transfer windows, following a prolific spell in front of goal for the Portuguese giants.
Nunez has found the net 18 times in 21 appearances across all competitions this season, including 13 strikes in as many Primeira Liga matches, helping the Eagles stay in the title race with rivals Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
According to Fichajes, Benfica are expecting to receive enquiries for Nunez in 2022 and understand that interested clubs are unlikely to activate his €150m (£127.3m) release clause, so they have lowered their valuation to €80m (£67.9m).
The report adds that Benfica are determined to keep hold of their star striker and will stress to any interested teams that they will not accept any offers below his valuation.
Nunez, who still has just over three-and-a-half-years remaining on his contract, has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
