Liverpool are reportedly serious contenders to sign Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund next summer.
Haaland is expected to be the subject of one of the biggest transfer battles in history at the end of the season, with just about every top European club having been linked with a move for the prolific striker.
The 21-year-old, who has scored 76 goals in 75 games for Dortmund, will be available for just £68m next summer due to a release clause in his contract.
Real Madrid's interest has already been confirmed and Los Blancos are thought to be one of the most likely destinations, but Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping a close eye on the situation too.
Liverpool had previously been thought to be outsiders in the race for Haaland's signature, but Sky Sports Deutschland claims that the Merseysiders are serious contenders.
The report claims that Jurgen Klopp's side may struggle to compete with many of the other interested parties financially, but that they are one of the most likely clubs to win the race regardless, alongside PSG.
The Reds are expected to consider bolstering their forward line next summer and could prioritise a centre-forward, with neither Roberto Firmino nor Diogo Jota filling the mould of a traditional number nine.
Haaland has directly contributed to 24 goals in just 16 appearances so far this season, scoring 19 and creating five more.
