Leicester City defender Harry Maguire in Manchester ahead of £80m United deal

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has moved a step closer to completing his transfer to Manchester United.

It was reported earlier this week that the two clubs have reached an agreement for Maguire to sign for United in a deal worth £80m.

However, the 26-year-old is still required to go through a number of formalities ahead of linking up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side ahead of the new campaign.

Sky Sports News reports that the England international has now arrived in Manchester, with the centre-back expected to undergo a medical.

Maguire is also likely to meet the rest of his new teammates at the club's training ground, where a behind-closed-doors friendly is taking place against Blackburn Rovers.

After United edged out AC Milan on penalties on Saturday evening, Solskjaer confirmed that a deal is close to completion.
