Liverpool could reportedly sign RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate for between €32.5m (£28.2m) and €34m (£29.5m) during this summer's transfer window.
The Reds are believed to have identified the 21-year-old as a potential target as they prepare to bring another new centre-back to Anfield in the upcoming market.
Various reports have claimed that Konate has a €40m (£34.7m) release clause in his current contract, but according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, the buy-out fee is actually between €32.5m (£28.2m) and €34m (£29.5m).
The Frenchman, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, has scored once in 16 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign.
Konate has struggled for regular action in recent weeks, though, and has not started a Bundesliga match since picking up an ankle injury towards the end of 2020.
The defender recently said that he is ignoring the speculation surrounding his future.
