Leicester City have prepared to rival Manchester United and Juventus for the signature of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Kouadio Kone this summer, according to a report.
The Foxes are being linked with a host of potential central midfielder targets ahead of the transfer window, with Youri Tielemans highly expected to leave the King Power Stadium this summer amid rumours of a move to Arsenal.
Hamza Choudhury is also said to be surplus to requirements for manager Brendan Rodgers, whilst last summer's signing Boubakary Soumare faces an uncertain future at the East-Midlands club.
Potential arrivals include the previous Arsenal target, and current Lyon midfielder, Houssem Aouar, although L'Equipe are reporting that 21-year-old Kone is the latest player to be interesting Leicester.
However, Leicester must do battle with the likes of United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid according to the report, with the latter trio having already made contact with Kone's representatives reportedly.
Kone impressed in his debut Bundesliga campaign with Die Fohlen, having made 26 league appearances for Adi Hutter's side in the 2021-22 campaign.
The midfielder moved to Gladbach for around £8m from Ligue 2 side Toulouse in January 2021, before playing out the remainder of the 2020-21 season back on loan with the French side.
