Leicester City have given teenager Louis Rowley a Premier League lifeline following his release by Manchester United.
The 19-year-old was not offered fresh terms at Old Trafford upon the expiration of his contract earlier this summer.
Rowley, who is primarily a left-back but spent a lot of last campaign impressing in the middle of the park for United's development team, has signed a one-year deal with Nigel Pearson's side.
He becomes the second former Red Devil to join the Foxes this pre-season following their acquisition of Jack Barmby.
Rowley could make his Leicester debut in the Under-21 team's friendly against Loughborough Dynamo on Monday.
