Leicester City 'close in on Harry Maguire replacements'

A report claims that Leicester City will bring in two new defenders over the next 24 hours as they fear losing Harry Maguire to Manchester United.

Leicester City are reportedly confident of bringing in two new centre-backs before the transfer window closes as speculation continues to mount over Harry Maguire's future.

The Foxes are bracing themselves for a £65m offer from Manchester United for Maguire, who is considered the Red Devils' top defensive target.

According to The Mirror, Leicester are about to sign Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb and Freiburg ace Caglar Soyuncu, providing competition for Wes Morgan, Jonny Evans, Yohan Benalouane and possibly Maguire if he stays.

A £22.5m agreement, plus add-ons, is said to be in place with Soyuncu, while Benkovic is valued at £13m.

The same report indicates that Leicester are willing to offer Maguire a £75,000-a-week deal if he remains at the King Power Stadium.
