Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has reportedly been told by a leading agency that they are able to secure him a move to Liverpool this summer.

The 26-year-old has developed into a key player for the Whites, largely thanks to former coach Marcelo Bielsa, but he is yet to feature under new boss Jesse Marsch as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

His impressive performances for club and country over the past few years have caught the eye of a number of top Premier League clubs, with Liverpool believed to be one team keeping tabs on his situation.

According to Football Insider, Phillips has already been told by a number of representatives vying for his signature that "we will get you to Liverpool" this summer, and that they have the connections in place to negotiate his transfer.

Phillips, who is currently represented by agent and former Leeds player Kevin Sharp, is under contract at Elland Road until June 2024, but he is yet to reach an agreement over an extension.

Leeds began contract negotiations with Phillips at the beginning of this season and they are prepared to make the England international the highest-paid player at the club; however, talks have since stalled, casting doubt over his long-term future with the club.

The £70m-rated midfielder has also been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and West Ham United, with the latter understood to have failed with a £55m bid in January.
